1905 might be the latest I have seen all seven players remain alive. Alas, it ends here, as one of our gents have been knocked out. Everyone please thank @Boukert for his time and effort this game. It was a valiant try, and if another game is played in the future, I would love to see you in it again. Although being eliminated first always hurts, surviving until 1905, considering your situation, was quite a feat. Attacked by two powers simultaneously in Spring 1902 as possibly the second-least defensible nation in the game (behind Austria), and holding on for three more years is legitimately impressive. No status lost just because it's first out here, in my estimation. May you have better luck next time.

Here is the video detailing all move this turn.

Here is the map with all movement lines included.

Now that Germany has been eliminated, I think now's the time for us to discuss draws.

Most games of Diplomacy - most likely, anyway - end in draws, rather than outright victories. A solo victory is only earned when a single nation own 18 supply centers - note that this is an absolute majority (34 centers on the map). More likely, the game ends in a draw at some point. At any point, any nation may offer a draw to the other players. A draw can only come about through unanimous agreement from all players who are still alive. Any player may reject any draw offer for any reason - as long as he is still alive (considered having a unit or supply center to his name). If any player rejects a draw offer, the game continues.

There are a few aspects about draws that deserve mentioning.

  1. Draws include all players who are still alive. We are using the DIAS (Draws include all survivors) rules, meaning that any player alive has a say and takes part in a draw if it is agreed upon. It does not matter how many units they have, or what their position is, or if they'll be eliminated next turn. If the draw passes while they are alive, they take part in the draw along with everyone else. If a player does not want another nation involved in the draw, the expected response is "In that case, eliminate them."

  2. All players share equally in the draw. The size of your nation, your relative position, and all of that go out the window once a draw is accepted. If the game ends with one nation having 17 supply centers, another having 14 supply centers, and a third having 3 supply centers, and a draw is agreed to, it is considered an equal three-way draw. The fact that player 3 is tiny compared to his two competitors does not matter. He has earned survival, which is enough for an equal share of the draw.

If you would like to read more on the ideas behind draws, and why they work as they do, you can read this article by Allan B. Calhamer, the inventor of the game Diplomacy.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to ask.
