I have just finished whittling down my list of potential picks to reach my final 10. I have a ridiculously good list this year and these two did not make the cut, but I still think they are approaching their final days.
Desmond Tutu
85 years old, so he's worth 15 points if he kicks the bucket. In September he had surgery and his health was "improving". By October however, articles appeared saying he wants the right to an assisted death. I think he has a decent chance of going this year.
Emperor Akihito
Japanese Emperor Akihito is 82, and has said that his health is declining. He also hinted that he wanted to give up the throne, something which is illegal in Japan. One indication that he is absolutely fucked is he gave an address, which he almost never does, and the address was recorded, not done live. It also had many cuts. I don't speak Japanese, but his tone of voice sounded like he had been told to read the words on the paper in front of him, rather than him having any kind of awareness over what was coming out of his mouth.
