So just another incentive for people to not get tested?

A few months ago my job put out a notice that if you get the jab and contract covid, you will get paid sick leave. If you don't get the jab, you won't get paid for time missed. So wouldn't that motivate the unvaxxed to just hide the fact that they are sick and continue coming to work and spreading their covid everywhere?

My company has the same policy and I worry daily that someone will do that. We can handle having a couple people out most days but it starts to put a real strain on the crews if we have more than that out. We actually had about half the workers go get vaccinated the next day after the policy change was announced.

Luckily our owner is willing to work out a loan agreement with the unvaccinated if they get sick but it's not being announced. Owner is trying to maintain the hard stance to the group but in private he knows the guys are all paycheck to paycheck and being out will put them in a bad bind.
