When an outbreak occurs, the risks of an epidemic suddenly become very salient in people’s minds and they may react to it with a degree of fear that is not proportionate to the actual risks or harms of the disease.

I keep saying that this is nothing for us to worry about. If you're not in the medical field and you're not on the front lines and you're not a worker dealing with it, pretend it doesn't exist and go about your day as normal.
