It's mostly been a complete media blackout of any riots going on. If they cover the riots, then they can't call Trump a nazi for allowing feds to go into these cities. Covering current events honestly would cause the public to support action against said events.

It's because the Portland riots are boring 99% of the time. They're mainly a gathering with an occasional handful of people starting shit. After which everyone present gets tear gassed.
