So are you saying that 10-10-10 produces CO2? Don't get me wrong, I'm in my 50s and I have always kept a compost heap and never put a chemical in the soil or on a plant. But you're talking nonsense. Decomposing organic matter produces methane and CO2. The alternative is chemical fertilizer, which does not. Please tell me your well-reasoned recommendation. What is this farming thing you vaguely reference which "produces more" CO2?

The peer-reviewed scientific articles linked to in that article will give you reliable background information. There's no need for me to waste my time typing at you when you can read them yourself.

Okay, article title at the site: Sorry—organic farming is actually worse for climate change

You said in your title: Organic farming can reduce direct climate pollution

See, one of actually grows things organically, the other posts misleading things on the internet.

Two days later, and you've managed to compare titles. Your depth of scholarship leaves me speechless. The article's title is obviously misleading - my title is based on the more informative first sentence of the article (I'll wait another couple of days for you to get there)

Organic practices can reduce climate pollution produced directly from farming – which would be fantastic if they didn’t also require more land to produce the same amount of food.
