They're not incredibly common, but you can still find them in gas station cash registers. Any dates past 2010 I think start to actually become worth something in a collector's sense, as they started to drastically reduce the amount of coins minted from lile 22 mil down to >3mil.

I don't think I've ever encountered one of these. Susan B's were bad and I recall getting Sacajawea from vending machines, but that didn't last too long.
You can't buy anything with a dollar or less. What's the point... taxes?
