Wait the Earth rapidly warmed without humans causing it? Hmmm... It's almost like the Earth has really looong cycles of cooling and warming. You know what happened after that? The Earth saw the rise of megaflora and dinosaurs, it recovered. Humans are just a speck of sand in the timeline of Earth. We will go extinct at some point and the Earth won't care.

You seem to be failing to make a point. Humans can cause climatic changes, so can nature. All indications are that we would be sitting in stable climatic zone perfect for human civilization for a lot longer, if we were not recklessly heating the planet through uncontrolled greenhouse gas emissions. Those of us that do care about humans would rather we didn't prematurely propel ourselves into the the next hothouse Earth.

My point was that many people seem to believe only humans are capable of causing rapid warmups. I guess I should've put "/s" afterwards since it was a sarcastic question.

Perhaps humanity should learn to coexist with nature not try to control it but I don't think that's possible since human nature is to have control.
