She told me that the poor kitty had to choose between a medicine that will make her feel ok, but slowly kill her, or she could skip the meds, live longer, but feel like shit.
Quality, or quantity are the choices.

So today I begin the slow murder of my geriatric kitty.
She's had 17 good years, and will probably still get one more. I guess we can't complain.

Does the decision ultimately come down to what you can live with? Either way that is a tough one. 17 years is a good run.

Ya, it was my call to make. I'm confident that murder is the humane choice.
I watched my other elderly cat die slow and painful last year. If it gets to the point where life = pain, then life has become worthless.
With the meds, she will be comfortable, and then die suddenly.

I hope I can do the same some day.
But not soon.

You are their lord and master, when they allow it. You know best. Hope the good times outweighed the bad.
