I'm very happy with moving out Edwin and Alonso while acquiring Santana and Bauers. Santana is a fan favorite who I believe can still be productive and hopefully Bauers will develop into a force at first and outfield. Alonso wasn't getting the job done, I'm happy to take a chance on a younger player.
I'm still worried about our catching situation, I didn't see the sense with dealing Gomes. Eric Haase has played only 9 MLB games and Perez was a dumpster fire offensively and wasn't much better behind the plate.
