Shifting with men on seems awfully risky. I can't remember the details, but the Tigers were shifting against somebody last week and the runner ended up taking third because there was no one there.

Last night the Astros put on a shift against Greg Allen. Allen is hitting 200 in 30 ABs. WHY???
Allen proceeded to hit a tailor made double play ball, but since there was no one at the SS position it went as a single. Instead of an inning ending double play the Tribe had two on with one out. We lost anyways, but I guess the point is another manager overthinking and using the shift too much.
