Hi Steve,
No worries about the fur thing - benadryl will be fine. I prefer Maple wood and I like to dip it in a little bit of fresh from the tree maple sap. Delicious if you haven't tried it! I'll try to see if I can get some in time for the trip.
Have to go feed the cats now. TTYL. Jobes

Hey Jobes,
Maple wood is toxic to us rats. We lack a gag reflex and run the risk of choking on the gooey sap. I'm going to chew on some sunflower seeds and harass my sister. Have a good night!

Dear Jobes,
I am sure all three of us can snuggle comfortably in the hammock. I would prefer to keep my fur, it gets very cold this time of the year. We do have benadryl if you have a reaction. What kind of wood do you prefer to chew on? We have apple and poplar sticks, but I am sure we can get more from grocery store.
Sincerely, Steve The Rat
