I mean nothing to complain about but I'd like to do some group stuff. Better than being dead I guess.
Did you guys lay off people when the virus started? I can see why no one collecting unemployment would want to work while it was extremely lucritive to just not work. The bonus $15/hr pay was absurd.
We didn't lay off anyone, we actually ramped up hiring. Some people are scared and refuse to work and nobody wants to apply until their unemployment runs out.
I just wish my work flow would slow down a bit. The restaurant I manage has stayed open through all of the lockdown, and our sales have been sky high for the past 4 months. But we rarely see any applications and most people don't want to work. At one point we had zero supervisors, except for me, and 1/3 the usual staff. This entire thing has been hell for the food industry.
