It's been like that since the internet became a thing. Tide pods, cinnamon challenge, lighting yourself on fire for youtube likes, are just a few that come to mind.

My husband blames Delphi, GENie, and CompuServe for unleashing hordes of idiots onto the internet. (it's a sore point)

I prefer to blame phones but it's all good.

I guess phones are also responsible. Internet users should need to pass a basic intelligence test. That would cut about 95% of user right away LOLS

It appears all technology ramps up energy and it seems to run in either direction. And yes, the 'phones'; that was a big game changer.
