I'd like to put a hidden cam in my room and have it record if it sees movement.

I rent a room and people will be let in to see the house (with a realtor) but I'd like to make sure no one goes through anything.

Not hidden but I use D-Link 934L wireless cameras for video and a Raspberry Pi3 running Zoneminder software for the motion detection and storage. Cameras are $25 each and the Pi is about $35.
Zoneminder is tricky to get running on Raspberry Pi but I have a 4 camera security system for less than $150.
