I see a lot of 'casual flings', open relationships, cucking that occurs today. Are relationships worth too little in this day in age?

Marriage costs too much. You have to really make sure you want to go through with it or you risk having the government telling you what to do with your money and your kids for 2 decades.

An interesting thing to ask is if the relationship would be worth it IF you took sex out of the equation.

And then, is the sex worth it if there is nothing else?

It was worth zero to me way back when I was young (40 some years ago), and of no greater value today. Back then, I was after the sex, minus the melodrama, and as a PUA, or womanizer, or whatever you want to call it, that is what I got. Today I got zero interest in sex or relationships. For todays Gen Z, I heartily endorse MGTOW as a possible 'life choice'. Not practical for everyone, but neither is marriage and fidelity. As the adage goes 'Know thyself and to thine own self be true'.

10000% yes. yes yes yes yes yes.

I miss going on dates or coming home to a flower on my vanity table. Its the little things, and theyre so easily forgotten.

I was born in the wrong generation. I dont think relationships are happy, or people just dont want to put in the effort incase there is something/one bigger or better. You want to be able to drop whomever to be able to get with soandso with no fallbacks of a messy breakup or awkwardness.

I was young when I met my spouse, engaged and had our kids. In a way, I 'rushed' my relationship, wheras in this day in age, people barely care or aforemontioned, bother. They want to be able to leave when shit gets too real.
