It's been a little over six months now and the hype has certainly died off. Anyone here still playing and want to brag about your stats?
Akira is legendary, that movie blew my mind in the 80's.
If you are looking for a good series, I can advice Naruto. It's the best manga series I've seen.

It's my favorite of the few I've seen. Has anyone actually done a body count on how many people died in that movie?
It's a daunting task, but you know, nerds and all...
I may check that out. I was kind of driven away from a lot of manga due to the weird kids in high school and their stereotypes. But I wouldn't mind giving it a try now a days.

Gotcha, I was just in the cusp of the target age when it came out, so I had a lot of slightly older friends that weren't into it.
I never really branched out into other animes. I watched a few other popular American bastardizations when I was younger like digimon and yugioh. But the only actual animes I've really enjoyed have been trigun and Akira.
I dunno, perhaps I haven't given many others much of a chance.
