The biggest problem w/ voat is that they don't differentiate between the Israeli government and your average Jewish person in the US. IIRC 89 of our representatives have dual citizenship w/ Israel. China has conducted studies on how they acquired so much influence in our govt. Meanwhile the israeli govt. doesn't allow for politicians to have dual citizenship. Why on earth we allow folks w/ divided loyalties is beyond me. That should change and it's not discrimination. Our congressman should pick one nation to prioritize and give up any dual citizenships. Oil aside, I dare say Israel has purchased greater influence. We even give them billions of dollars a year so they'll buy our weapons.
You know, when I was a kid, when you became an American citizen you had to take an oath of allegiance to the US and renounce any other citizenship. They changed that long the way somewhere, I don't know when ... but I totally agree. It's a serious problem now. And not just with Israel.
Personally I gave up on Voat accept except for an occasional drive by because of the overwhelming stupidity there of late. It used to be avoidable, but now seems all pervasive. As I've said a zillion times, there are the good, the bad, and the ugly in every form of humanity. To me, those who single out everyone and paint them with the same brush are just fools.
Ahhh ... but the Saudis have the oil man! Plus they spend big money on military contracts and buying both parties with "charitable" donations and such.
