I heard about this DaS thing. What exactly is going to happen? Am I going to lose access to my current installation?

Desktop as as Service is not for your typical personal machine, the DaaS system allows enterprise customers to provide a desktop on a virtual machine in a datacenter and allow that same desktop to be accessed from a thin client or a terminal program in another location.

What is changing is the cloud offerings. Instead of former terminal service systems operating in a local data center, it is possible to get DaaS as a cloud product, Amazon's AWS already offers this.

I read something about it only being for "enterprise" versions- I don't trust M$oft and I expect this to transcend all win 10 varieties. I'm still using win 8 and have as much as possible turned off related to telemetry and all the endless update business. win 8 isn't bad after you've stripped it away...
