With the decline of Facebook and Twitter, do you think we could see the emergence of a Chinese owned social media network directed towards westeners?

Well, VK (vKontakte) never took off in the west and it's a pretty solid platform--but that's Russian. If they can make it not FEEL and LOOK Chinese, I don't see why not. Language has always been the greatest barrier, aside from geography.
