Most people collect random things, so what's yours?
I collect coins and albums mainly.

I still have them all in a bookcase in the study. I like it when I walk in the room and get nostalgic by seeing a title. I couldn't let them go for anything.
Tin Tin was a reporter and went all over the world solving mysteries and crimes he tumlbed into. His good friend Captain Haddock really makes the series as the drunk, foulmouthed, rude, uncontrollable, rough sailor. This guy was epic as a kid when you read his endless tirades. Used to crack us up as kids. Funny how I saw the children of a good friend in the age of 8-15 over christmas and they knew the character as well, and could even quote his lines.
While Scooby Doo was more a "Hippy mystery tour" Tin Tin was more serious and adventurous. Think Indiana Jones.
Spielberg did an animated movie out of the first album a while back. Pretty well done actually and you can clearly see how Tin Tin influenced Spielberg on "Raiders of the lost arc" and other Indiana Jones adventures. (he has admitted this himself)
Okay I think I get what you're talking about. That's pretty nifty though.
Do you still have your collection stashed In a box somewhere? I imagine some of those would be pretty interesting.
And holy crap. I completely forgot about Tin Tin and that scruffy little dog. And some bearded Norwegian sailor guy.
They did like Scooby Doo style adventures right?
(sort of drunk and remembering stuff from almost 20 years ago.)
