In a democracy it's very important whom you give the right to vote.

Wow. Just... wow.

If israel would merge together with palestine such that they'd become one democratic state, do you think it would turn out well?

If you are leaning on the left, would you be in favor of welcoming people who come from a national socialist country and happily give them the vote?

You do understand that someone who votes can potentially dictate laws and therefore dictate your personal life, right? They can outlaw sexual practices and orientations (as is the case in many middle eastern countries), can dictate wealth redistribution, limit freedom of expression (china banning movies that show interracial relationships, for example).

Do you want to give others the right to dictate your life without any limitations, to give it to people who because of their culture have completely different moral values?

FYI, democracy does not mean what you think it means.

To my understanding democracy means that the majority dictates. Whether that is an absolute majority or relative majority.

We have a representive democracy, thus people do not directly vote on laws but representatives who then pass laws through various processes.

Either way voters shape the country and it's laws.

So, where am I wrong? I'd really appreciate if instead of acting offended or telling me that I'm wrong, you'd actually make the case and offer counter-arguments or facts.
