Legal field; Dont want to spend over 600 unless necessary.

Looked at ASUS, Lenovo, and Toshiba.

My HP Pavilion's hard drive crapped out on me in abt 2014.

Will be using good ole' pen and paper until I can make a decision.

side note, would like to have an optical drive, and looking for most battery life
