Legal field; Dont want to spend over 600 unless necessary.
Looked at ASUS, Lenovo, and Toshiba.
My HP Pavilion's hard drive crapped out on me in abt 2014.
Will be using good ole' pen and paper until I can make a decision.

I have the first hp 11" netbook that came with 32gb ssd, ran it for a few years, then upgraded it to a 128gb ssd like 4 years ago and added ubuntu. The battery is crap, but it still runs 7+ years later. My big one was a dv9000t. It's had multiple hdds and multiple versions of windows and linux, but it still runs smooth. I have the dock for it too.
Both have had multiple OSes, ram upgrades, and new hdds, but still work 100% today. All ports, wifi, and outputs work like when I first got them.
I had an old slim samsung for years. But several HPs have been good to me.
