Seeing as you mentioned me in the OP I think I should interject and say that I actually believe that the police are the people most likely to try and kill me. Ideally, they'd protect me, but probably not. I also think the military kills too many innocents, just not people like ME (Americans or other Westerners.)
The only reason I don't own weapons is because I'm highly fucked up mentally and don't want to use weapons on impulse.

Non violent people don't own weapons and think that others(Police,Military,etc) will protect them. They expect safety to be others responsibility.
