Some cross between the evil plan from Monsters Inc and the roles of the cenobites in the Hellraiser series.

I don't see how it would deal with undesirables.
It would create a demand for suffering though.

I don't think it would be much different than the question posed by having a free labour supply from prisoners. Meaning it is shady at best and considered a bad idea or unethical by most civilized cultures.

Think about it. No one gives a shit about undesirables. No one would miss them or tear themselves up with guilt over them being imprisoned and used. Well not many.

I'm not sure that's true. Plenty of people care about all life, even bad ones.
Also I still don't see how it would help anything. It would just create an incentive for more misery.

I see most people claim tp care about life and claiming to be horrified by atrocities. I dont see those people do shit about it. So what if there's a few warehouses of people being tortured, it's better for the environment than coal!

All humans, regardless of who they are, what they've done, or anything else, deserve to be treated at least some measure of respect and dignity. It is something all sapient beings are entitled to, simply by existing. I cannot condone the idea of forcing them to suffer simply because it's useful to do so.

The natural retort to this is that prisons and jails and the like already cause suffering when you force someone to be in there. That's true; but suffering is not their primary purpose. Their main function is to remove the offenders from society for the safety of all. That's why we still feed them, cloth them, give them some access to recreation and visitation, except in extreme circumstances. We actually try to limit the suffering, for their own sake, and our sake. So heaping more suffering on to them for convenience is completely contrary to most societies' desire in the first place.

You honestly believe people are entitled.. well anything? How does that even make sense? The only thing people are entitled to is the inevitability of death.
