The flag that Armstrong planted on the moon.

I feel as though you're the kind of guy that gets asked to leave all you can eat buffets.

I considered that, but I don't know if I'd consider it a "world" monument.

A 'world' includes the planet and all of its associated parts. Plants, animals, atmosphere and I would argue the moon. The moon does not exist in any context outside of this world, so I'm going to allow it. :)
If it had said planet, I'd agree, but world is just vague enough that I'm demanding to see the flag.

Hard to say. There's not a ton that really grip me or create a strong desire to see. The Taj Mahal is one I've thought of a lot.

In Jingzhou, Hubei, China, there's a 8000 square foot museum with a statue on top dedicated to Guan Yu, a popular historical figure from the Three Kingdoms period. I suppose that's less famous, though.

Statue of Liberty also comes to mind.

I'd probably want to see Machu Picchu.

While I'm there, I'd also like to see a Peruvian eat a pigeon--I hear that's pretty common, though.
