As far as I know the two are generally connected. Disorders that prevent people from understanding their own emotions also interfere with their ability to understand others. They may still feel empathy, but not correctly. Meaning they might think they understand how another feels, and may act on that, but they are often wrong.
But I'm no expert.
k thanks for reply.... my bud is a really interesting guy... he's a tattoo artist and just gets everyone... but when we chill alone he tells me how he has to feel even me out to understand how to be around me because he makes different borders for everyone.... he's actually trustworthy... paid me back money and has a child now... but it's so fucking interesting how this guy thinks.
