Should we start spreading the word in order to grow this website? I really want a replacement for Reddit, and my boyfriend has found a replacement in Voat for quite a while now.
I have voiced my concerns with that choice for quite a while. He says he's just there because of their freedom of speech, but when I told him about Phuks he said he didn't really like how little content there was. I know it seems selfish of me by saying that I want the site to succeed to get my boyfriend to come over to this side, but I really do want the site to succeed for everyone else to!
I really want to help out in any way to get this site to take off. Is there a place to brainstorm ideas on how to spread the word?

Currently the team is working hard on a new theme/layout/interface and this is mainly the marker for getting our "recruitment campaign" started. The site will look smoother and we can finally implement some CSS on a lot of subs. Like @polsaker replied there is still a lot of technical work being done.
