While we have obese people in NL, it's no where near the amount of fat people or the general "fatness" of fat peoeple, as displayed by the UK and US.
The Dutch have a very high rate of sporting association subscribers, we have the habit of bringing our own lunch to work/school most of the times (sliced bread with cheese or something else on them) and we use our bicycles a lot to travel. Being fat is definatly frowned upon in our society and seen as very unhealthy.
Our sporting clubs/associations are not linked to schools over here so many people keep playing in teamsports way past highschool and most of their lives.
