There have been warrior women throughout history in many regions.

Though being buried with a male warrior doesn't quite fit the myth.

True, but the respect her group/tribe must have had to bury her with those expensive and hard to make weapons speaks volumes. And due to that respect, maybe she requested to be buried with her boy toy.
