I really want to install Lineage on my phone, but I have a Galaxy S8 and Lineage supports like literally every other Samsung phone in existance except the S8 line. Bleh
If I recall correctly, they had a lot of issues with the s8, and other Samsung device's.
My previous device was the Galaxy A7 2017 and it lost official LineageOS support about a year after it became official because of a lack in development. The only reason I bought a new phone was I cracked the screen real bad, and it refused to charge correctly after a power surge.
This new phone is real nice though. Installing LOS was painless and it was only $200 on amazon.
The curved screen makes it a problem for even approved play store apps. Shit is constantly cut off because apps almost always get the wrong resolution because of the stupid curved screen. I'll keep it til it dies tho prolly
I recently bought a One plus 3t and I have been working on degoogling my device again, and I came across this in depth post about removing google shit.
I am hoping to remove all the google shit when I find the time.
