Every app crashes constantly, but the most affected was the clock app I used for alarms. I had to buy a shitty little alarm clock because of this.
Anyways I have a galaxy s8+ and I was going to install LineageOS, but the S8 line is the single only galaxy that has no official support for that OS. Any other distros I should look into, or should I just do a default installation?
Yeah it's not like the S8 line is particularly special, but I have had a lot of problems with fullscreen apps because they can't determine if their resolution should be the entire size of the screen vs the resolution of the uncurved parts. Oddly I never had an issue with any free app I downloaded from F-Droid but have only had them with mainstream apps from the Play store
I can't stand the curved glass. Yeah, the screen covers more of the phone, but it also makes the screen more likely to break when it falls.
Have you tried checking with Samsung and seeing if they have an older ROM available?
I'm sure they do, I just don't want to deal with all the bloatware that comes with their distro
That's nuts, even my midrange Galaxy A7 had official support for a little while.
