I haven't had anything to drink but this will come off as a drunken rant so be prepared. I need to vent this in an incomprehensible and angry way and this is probably the best place to do it.

Every fucking election is the same. It's been obvious for fucking decades now that the government has been monopolized by the two parties, and anyone with more than two brain cells should know that this is not how a democracy is meant to work, or how people are meant to be their own rulers, but it doesn't fucking stop.

Nobody, except a few deranged cultists, is actually excited about their favored political candidate/party. They're voting solely to avoid letting their rivals take office. Every fucking election it's about voting for the lesser of two evils. When do we fucking get more than two, and when do they stop being evil? Fucking never, because nobody fucking cares to do anything about it.

Trump and Biden are both retarded old boomers who are not mentally fit to peel a banana, not to mention their wholly ignored (except by the other side) rape accusations, or likelihood of being part of pedo island, or their status as gun-grabbing, executive power expanding, Israel shilling war criminals. How can anyone objectively look at the other and think they're any fucking different? All I can see is that Trump wears his dimentia with pride and confidence, which is a chad move and great for memes, but fucking hell for the state of our country.

People are only capable of seeing half of this. The fucking evil part of it all is that the two parties actually use each other as political scapegoats. The Nazis used Jews, the Communists use the U.S. government, and the Democrats and Republicans use each other.

There are more than two parties, only no one votes for the others.

I'm one of those people that think Trump is the most important president of our lifetimes. His success means success for the country and aligns the party to his goals.

Limiting illegal immigration, bringing manufacturing home (at least wanting that to happen is a big difference), standing up to China, not starting another war... All that goes away if Trump loses and we're back on our way to joining the third world.

There are more than two parties, only no one votes for the others.

This isn't by choice. There's a multitude of barriers that prevent third parties from gaining legitimacy, such as the first past the post system, state ballot access laws, and rigged polls run by the mainstream media which set the barriers for who is and isn't allowed on the debate stage. In 2016 the Libertarian candidate almost made it to 15%, which would have allowed him on the debate stage, but the polls right before the debate took place, conducted by CNN, put him at the last question in the poll and specifically targeted age groups that didn't favor him. He was also more popular among veterans than either Trump or Clinton, yet NBC refused to make him part of their commander-in-chief forum.

The Libertarian party spent thousands struggling to get ballot access in 2016 and barely qualified for every state. The green party barely made it to enough states for the mathematical possibility of winning, and all the other third parties failed even at that.

And even if they could, the first past the post system is pretty much designed for only two choices to ever have legitimacy. Alternative voting systems like ranked-choice or approval voting allow people to vote for multiple candidates, while our current system makes voting third party a 'wasted vote'.

It's not just because people only like the Democrat and Republican parties. At best, only about half of the voting population tolerates one of the parties and hates the other.

As long as we still have people over there, the wars won't end. Remember when Obama pulled out of Iraq? Then ISIS (possibly formed by the CIA) popped up and we went right back in. We still have some troops in Afghanistan, fighting against other extremist groups against the Taliban, and given a few years we'll see another excuse to ship thousands of Americans back over there.

All that goes away if Trump loses and we're back on our way to joining the third world.

Political action will do nothing about that. Empires never last forever, and just like the British, and the Romans before them, ours will fall. It's already been on the decline for a while now, and this pandemic, and the economic collapse, mass inflation, and authoritarian expansion that comes with it will not help.

We can't use political power to stop the decline of our empire, but we could use it to stop the destruction of our freedom at the hands of political power, if not for the fact that both parties are gun grabbers that throw our money to corporations, Israel, and funding wars. Even if the parties have their differences, they share their most evil qualities equally.
