Went very well. I was discharged after less than 24 hours. 5-7 days of pretty significant recovery taking it easy...I'm sore from my groin to my neck, especially the heart and throat. It'll be 3 month before we find out how effective it was because it needs time for inflammation to decrease and the scars too do something.
Awesome! Glad to hear it.
I had seen your response to my post and made a mental note to ask you how it went after Tuesday. I meant to ask on Wednesday, but I forgot. My mental notes don't work as well as they used to!
I assume you'll feel better soon? Well, by 'better' I mean that you'll feel less pain from the surgery?
From your comment, I can assume they did that weird surgery where they get to the heart by going up through your groin somehow? I have no idea how that actually works. 'Snot my wheelhouse and I am not a physician.
Yeah pretty much. My groin is swollen and bruised to hell and still occasionally bleeding a bit. Takes a lot to get it to stop while on blood thinners. I have 4 decent sized puncture wounds down there and walking still kinda sucks.
I'm feeling much better today, but still have tightness in my chest and feel a bit weak. I should be mostly back to normal in a week, but the next 3 months will on/off still have the same symptoms I was previously having but less severe. After 3 months we'll see if they have to do a second or third surgery if the first didn't fix it
How was your surgery?
