Also, I hate to admit it - but I am not sure I could complain much if they required a special endorsement to drive around with a 600 pound piece of metal that is 8.5' across and attached to a vehicle that weighs a couple of tons and then has another ton of sand tucked into the back.
It is seriously, seriously bad news if a plow is driven by an idiot that doesn't know what they are doing.
The good news is that everyone seems to know this. Not a whole lot of people are dumb enough to pull out in front of me when I have the plow on. I may very well not be able to stop in time and frankly I am not sure if an impact with their Prius is even going to dent my plow.

Cell phones are evil. Pure evil. Don't get me started. It's probably the real reason you wrecked in the first place. Anyway, good luck with the snow smashing. And don't tell the guberment how much you enjoy it, they'll probably start making you get a special smashing endorsement on your license. Maybe they'll combine it with hunting and fishing though so you can get all your licenses as a package.
On the tractor ... you could always rent one of those scissor lift things to lift you into the seat. You should've thought ahead and already had one of those on hand.
