I noticed their was someone from Voat doing an Ama so I thought since I came from Reddit I might as well do one to.
After Reddits new plans some people were commenting for alternatives and someone shared a link to this as an alternative to reddit. Also the sub it was in was /r/bestof

That's kind of how I found this place. I posted on askreddit about alternative sites like it, and someone mentioned voat, so I went there, and then someone there mentioned here so now i'm on both.
