My favorite line from RedLetterMedia's Re:view of this movie:
- "Starship Troopers is the anti Star Trek".
I never cared about this movie at all as a kid - but that review has me wanting to really check it out, because I am such a big fan of Star Trek and this movie takes everything that Star Trek is about, throws it in the trash, and goes as hard as it can in the opposite direction. And they have all those moments where a Kirk would say "No, I will not kill this man!" Starship Troopers not only kills the man, but takes glee in the violence, the murder, and the pure evil that is their society.
I'd like to watch it in full sometime.
