This is bullshit. I'm not a fan of Tommy, but that does not excuse the actions taken against him. I understand the idea behind having a media blackout to prevent the trial from being tainted. We sometimes do similar. But that is not what is happening here. If that really was their concern, then sequester the jury. It is not reasonable to remove press freedom when there is a simple alternative. I think this is about protecting the Muslim image. I think they fear that publicizing the details of this case would turn public opinion against the religion, more than it already is.
