She looked so relieved after the Dutch governement took a stand last week over the Rotterdam shit. Calling the Germans Nazi's you can't say much, Call the Dutch nazi's and she could say something about that. She did so in a praising matter looking as a Dutchman
"This rejection is also valid for our allies, such as the Netherlands. These comparisons are completely misguided. They trivialize the suffering. Particularly in the Netherlands that endured so much agony through the National Socialists, it's just completely unacceptable. That's why the Netherlands can count on my complete support and solidarity on this."
The pressure is off and EU ranks have closed against Erdogan and Turkey. Now she can strike back a little harder
Nato has been flexible for a lot of years. Greece and Turkey are still at war/near war / really hate eachother over the whole Cyprus kerfuffle. Yet both are in NATO
I think it would come to a fallout from Turkey and the rest of NATO will stay intact when that happens. NATO is still a cornerstone for the US military and higher command. There is unrest there from the pro Russian outings of Trump earlier and deteriorating this even further would jeopardise US interests in the east even further.
US officers swear allegiance to the constitution and not the president btw (same as the Turkish, but i guess that changed quickly)

I highly doubt the US and UK would just simply let Turkey drop out of NATO. That is far too strategic of a location for them, with their locality to Moscow, Damascus, Baghdad and Tehran. If Erdogan makes a move to leave NATO, then I'd fully expect that the faux military coupe would get a strong revival from the CIA and GCHQ.
I would doubt it to. But Erdogan is hard at work to make himself the new Sultan and purging everything in sight that's even remotly considered a threat to him so it will be increasingly hard to dispose of him.
The Kurds are truly one of the few that could seriously go against Turkey at this point. Putin and Assad both publicly supported them in fighting ISIS, I'm curious how much they are actually financing them. If Erdogan tries to start removing all Kurds from Turkey, that would be very very interesting how it plays out.
I'm expecting NATO to start imploding any day now
