I can't see Trump tying things up so that Pelosi takes over on January 20, 2021, until the election is decided. That might be worse than Creepy Uncle Joe running the show.

We don't have no contests votes or a parliament system. The government can't just 'dissolve' .. if you mean America's government to literally be a failed state, I hope you realize how many thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, would die in the chaos. The fall of a State is a horrific thing.
The US made it through the 1960s. We made it through Bush v Gore. Really this is nothing. I predict all that will happen is Biden takes the presidency, the Republicans take the House/Senate and fight the insane policies we're sure to see come from Biden/Harris, and America goes back to believing the election process is hopelessly corrupt and doesn't fucking matter. House Clinton has retaken the Iron Throne (Biden will have to step down, or the Clinton's might just get him killed of COVID, and Harris will be the newest member of the House Clinton Royal Family ... she won't get reelected).
