I haven't read too far into this but sounds like they pussed out either way. If there were threats, state guard should have been called up, or even volunteers. If there was a militia attack on legitimate democratic processes the dems would benefit enormously from it politically.

After Oregon Gov. Kate Brown called on state troopers to return the lawmakers to the capital, the paramilitary group the Oath Keepers suggested violence against her.

Using the police to forcibly compell someone to perform an action is not considered violence but presenting resistence to compulsion is violence?

How could anyone read this article and not see the blatant double standard? They're essentially arguing to mold a political system in the image of China's.
