Claims like that require evidence or at least some reasoning.
Just stating something doesn't make it true and will not convince anyone of anything.
I don't think ID is the main problem, but at the same time, these problems are less common in countries that do require ID.

Unfortunately it is true that shouting over-simplified slogans or unsubstantiated claims has become the modern form of debate.
But that doesn't mean I'll ever stop complaining about it.
