Really though, I can kind of understand it. The wage gaps in this country are nuts. That combined with all the automation and jobs being shipped overseas. It's going to be interesting to see what happens. I don't agree that socialism is the answer, but we do have a problem.
And the immigrant problem greatly adds to it all. The world ha many problems, unfortunately we as the USA can't resolve them all. It is often maddening to me to see that I worked all my life so someone from Central America or Syria can simply come here with an entire family and be educated and cared for on my dime, while we have a large populace of homeless and impoverished of our own. Modern industrial practices and technology as a whole are good things, however they leave many behind in the process of what we call progress.
This whole shift of the left towards full blown socialism is scary. It shows the lack of historical education our younger generations has been exposed to. Socialism is a concept that on paper sounds like utopia ... but the normal human experience where greed and power overwhelm all has proven it's a non-starter.
