Saying it's politics related could set a dangerous precedent for public places where private people have a say in how the space is used, like protests or voting on private property (churches).

While legally private businesses should be able to discriminate within the legal framework of the time (there are plenty of laws that encroach on many types of discrimination) this is really a bad sign for civility in society.
