Sunlight filtrating through the trees, Slowly meandering through the evergreens.
Smell of pine drifting on the summer breeze, Pine needles, sticks, twigs and leaves, announce my presence as I wander through this sea of green.
Strolling aimlessly with no destination in mind, No chance of being late, Just enjoying this forest, forgotten by time.
The stillness all around, rarely interrupted by any audible sound. It fills me with a sense of serenity, calm, peace and tranquility.
A song bird shatters the silence, warning a predator of impending violence.
Nature takes and natures gives, death inevitably follows all that lives.
I ponder morality as I stumble upon a doe with her back to me.
Standing still just to observe, this forgotten forest is like my own private nature reserve. Reminds me of why we should all protect and preserve.
