Headline seems misleading - as already posted, and mentioned in the article, the primary reason for the cull appears to be to save drinking water - not to address global warming.

This article is not great, I'll agree with you there. Probably 80%+ of media is untrue, propaganda or spins on truth though so "validating the truthfulness of articles with silly headlines" kind of falls out of the scope of this sub imo.
