It's fine to recommend lesser stuff; sometimes certain things can scratch a particular niche there just isn't a lot for. The point is to share what we like. One of my favorites I will readily admit is not top-tier quality - but I have a bit of a soft spot for it because it was one of the first ones I ever saw, back on the now defunct TechTV channel.
The point is, don't feel overly compelled to only post the best stuff. Be it memes, suggestions, or whatever, the point is to share and communicate with each other.
I like anime.
I'm hardly an aficionado, or someone who's very knowledgeable about all kinds of stuff. I don't really get into fandoms that much. But the anime I do like, I like a lot, and will happily watch it many times.
I'm not snobby about it - I've met some who look down on others for liking this, that, or the other, but I try not to do that. There's only what I like and think is good, and what you like and think is good. If it's an appeal situation, then there's no bad opinions, only what you prefer.
I'll try and post shows I like, where I can find them available online for free, and also talk about shows I like that I can't find online. I'd like for everyone to do the same, if there's something you enjoy.
For the purposes of the sub, what's more important than where it comes from is the style its in - this is not strictly for Japanese shows, but rather any show - even a western one - done in an eastern style. I won't be picky about content anyone posts, as long as it's reasonably "eastern-style". I realize that's somewhat vague, but unless something is obviously inappropriate (not in terms of adult content - NSFW tags are for that), I don't intend to moderate posts in that way.
Hope to see you guys post some stuff here from time to time.
