I am personally big on prog. I can understand what you mean by this not quite being metal anymore: it has lost a lot of the elements that are characteristic of the genre, and I don't even know if can be called prog metal. It's very different to stuff like Dream Theater or Opeth. However, it's music that comes from metal, even if it's not quite the same anymore, and there's no other real classification(maybe mathcore?). It's very welcome here.

Let me know if prog metal is frowned upon here. It's kind of a weird genre that isn't always metal.
