Container homes are shit because the container part is functionally useless and you lose a lot of space after putting in insulation and hvac and everything.

Tiny homes used to be good affordable housing, but hipsters, egotistical retards, and price gougers all took over the movement and instead of cheap small housing you'll find a lot of 'art piece' homes that are only about 200 square feet but will cost hundreds of thousands. They're still good if you have the knowledge and experience (and licenses and zoning clearance) to build your own.

Trailers are good if you live in an area with stable weather, like no hurricanes or tornadoes. Otherwise you'll either want insurance on everything you own and a detailed plan to get to the nearest shelter on short notice, or just go for a manufactured or prefab home and if you can afford it, put in a concrete or even basement foundation. It goes without saying that you're financially fucking yourself in the ass if you don't own the land you put it on; or else you're piling rent (I've seen some parks in upwards of $700/mo) on top of financing the trailer itself.

Besides all that, I don't see what's wrong with wanting a place that looks nicer. Aside from the better options for foundations, that's another thing prefab and manufactured homes have over trailers. They don't have to be millennial brutalist shitboxes, but a little aesthetic can go a long way.
